AeroPAK

One of the often-overlooked opportunities for significant savings is closed-loop control of the oxygen in aeration tanks. While most plants measure dissolved oxygen, many simply run the blowers at full speed to ensure a sufficient supply. A simple loop to modulate the blowers in response to changes in measured DO can provide substantial electricity savings.

More advanced control can compensate for changes in atmospheric temperature, reduce excess oxygen in the aeration tank, anticipate the effect of incoming load changes, and increase the life expectancy of blower motors.
