Sweet Solution for M&M Mars

With obsolete Bailey SLC controllers on two boilers, a float system on the dearator tanks, and an outdated PLC on the cogeneration system, Mars Snack Foods in New Jersey had a mix of equipment that was becoming harder to maintain and didn't keep their boilers running at peak efficiency. MicroMod presented a proposal to replace the Bailey SLC controllers with SLC RetroPAK, which led to the customer requesting a proposal that included the cogen system, deaerator & condensate tanks and feedwater pump controls. The final project includes replacing the Bailey controllers and upgrading the other control systems along with installing a new SCADA system to provide centralized operation and data aquisition.
